About Ann
Ann Zadeh has been a Resident of Fort Worth for over 30 years. She currently lives in the Bluebonnet Hills neighborhood which is located on the Southeast side of TCU and has since 1992. As a Child, her parents taught her the importance of “community.” Since then, Ann has been an active participant in every community in which she has lived. She was very active in her local neighborhood association of Bluebonnet Hills, serving as their newsletter editor, coordinating social events, and assisting the board over many years. That association had been inactive for a number of years and had to be reactivated. Ann worked, along with a dedicated group of fellow residents, to make that happen.
Ann has been an AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certified planner since 1992. She has a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from University of Texas at Arlington and a BA in Environmental Studies Policy and Planning from University of California, Santa Cruz.
She served on the Zoning Commission for 6 years. She was originally appointed by Mayor Moncrief and then reappointed to the board by Mayor Price. She was elected chair of that commission for her last year of service. During her six years of service, she had the benefit of interacting with numerous other neighborhood associations, as well as individual residents across the city, and remained dedicated to neighborhood association involvement and public participation overall.
In 2014, Ann Zadeh was elected District 9 City Council Representative after being chosen by the voters in a 6 way race.
Ann is a passionate supporter of neighborhoods across District 9, attending events and enthusiastically encouraging others to attend. Some of her favorites include: Open Street; Pop Up and Farmers Markets; Better Block; Main Streets Arts Festival; May Fest; and Historic Home Tours. She assisted Steer Fort Worth Urban Development in neighborhood coordination for Better Block Bluebonnet Circle.
Ann Zadeh still lives in Bluebonnet Hills with her husband. Her two children are currently enrolled in college.

Accomplishments
- TCU Overlay created and adopted to protect existing single-family residential neighborhoods by setting an occupancy limit of three unrelated persons in single family zoning within the district.
- Hemphill Lamar Connector a long awaited connection between the Near Southside and Downtown was put back on track in great part to my efforts representing many stakeholders who will benefit from this Complete Street connection.
- Fire Station Park expansion- Opportunities to acquire land for parks in the central city are rare and expensive. The catalyst for this project continues to provide opportunities to collaborate on designing and developing more places for people which lead to community building and engagement.
- Facilitated numerous sidewalk and connectivity projects throughout the district with both physical infrastructure projects and community engagement through walking town halls, walking school buses and many Blue Zones events.
- Community Engagement attending and encouraging neighborhood associations weekly with regular attendance and prompt customer service from my office.
